I'm Roderick and I'll be your AIMS president this year. I'm in my last year here at the University of Manitoba studying International Business and Logistics management.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I could talk for hours about cars (if you let me), I am an avid snowboarder/wakeboarder, and I absolutely love traveling! I was on exchange to Greifswald 2 years ago and was lucky enough to be able to see a lot, both in and outside of Germany. My latest endeavour was spending the Christmas break of 2016/17 in Belize and my next adventure is currently in the planning phase.
My AIM(s) as your president is to ensure that everyone taking part in our program has a fantastic time here at the University of Manitoba. I am eager to meet everyone as well as excited to share this next year with you.
Megan Robinson VP of Marketing
Hello! Hola! Здравствуйте!
My name is Megan and I am in my fifth year at the University of Manitoba and my third year at the Asper School of Business. I am majoring in International Business and minoring in Russian and Spanish! I have spent a summer in England digging up artifacts on an archaeological dig, visited Venice and Florence, and golfed all across Canada and the states! I think one of the most beautiful things about AIMS is to be able to share and understand each other's views and cultures, and of course, creating life long friendships with students from around the world! I am here to make your experience here at Asper the best it can be! Please feel free to contact me anytime, and I look forward to seeing you all soon!
Josh Griffin VP of Finance
My name is Josh and I am this year's VP of Finance for AIMS. This year will be my final year of studies at the Asper School of Business where I will dual major in Finance and Marketing.
Although I haven't studied abroad, I have enjoyed traveling to many parts of Canada, the U.S., the Caribbean and parts of Europe including Switzerland, Austria and Southwest Germany where my family is from and some still live. In addition to "touristing", I lived in Chicago for an internship in 2016. Besides travel, I like to spend my spare time staying active including playing a variety of sports.
I look forward to meeting you and helping make your Canadian exchange experience one to remember.
Paige Jaenen VP of Social Programming
Hello Friends! My name is Paige and I am super excited to be in charge of Social Programming for the 2017/2018 school year! A little bit about me - I am currently in my 5th year of University and I am double majoring in International Business and Entrepreneurship.
This past semester I completed my own exchange at the Universitat de Vic – Central University of Catalunya in Spain. During my exchange I was very lucky to have travelled to many countries in Europe, and North Africa bringing my total travels to 28 counties, on 4 continents.
My special skills include colouring inside the lines, knowing useless trivia, and walking and talking at the same time.
Langshi Wang VP of Social Programming
Hello! Oi! 你好！
My name is Langshi and I am going into my fifth year at University of Manitoba and last year at the Asper School of Business. I’m majoring in Accounting and Finance.
I love travelling and learning about new cultures. I have also lived in a few countries as I am originally from China, I grew up in Brazil and four years ago I moved to Canada with my family for my academic degree. I have been on a Asper exchange in Seoul, South Korea last semester and it was one of the best experiences in my life.
I’m super excited to be one of your VP Social Programmers this year. I can’t wait to meet all of you and make your experience in Canada and Asper the most memorable. Please don’t hesitate to contact me or approach me for any question, I’ll be happy to answer them :)
Roy Scott VP of Academic Programming
My name is Roy Scott and I am in my 3rd and final year at the Asper School of Business. I am completing a double major in Leadership and Entrepreneurship.
My first experience with exchange came through the Arni Thorsteinson Israel Exchange program in 2016. The program lasted only a month but the experience was amazing as were the people. It was an experience I will never forget. I went to Warsaw, Poland for the spring term in February of 2017 and found another great experience. I found the exchange students group in Warsaw to be fun and a great way to meet new people and learn about the local culture. I hope to be a part of providing the same friendly, fun, cultural experience for all new exchange students to Asper. I am always willing to provide assistance when needed, so if you have a question, concern or just want to chat look for the guy in the cowboy hat. I’d be glad to help! I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and to contributing to a fantastic exchange experience.
See you soon, Roy!
Cassandra Frederick VP of Academic Programming

In addition to going on an Asper exchange during my second year to Plymouth, England, I have travelled on my own and with family to various places in the United States and Canada, Mexico, France, Netherlands, Scotland, England, Italy, and Kenya.
My other interests include reading, listening to music, and… did I mention travelling? I am very excited be a part of AIMs for the 2017/2018 school year as your VP of Academic Programming and to get the chance to help make your exchange trip as exciting as mine was. Cheers! Cassandra

Clarice Sinohin VP of International Affairs
Hello everyone! My name is Clarice Sinohin and I am your VP International Relations for the year 2017-2018! I will be connecting the international exchange students with their Canadian Asper student buddies! My main responsibility is to ensure that the exchange students are getting best of their student experience here in Manitoba and to also expand Asper students’ global network.
A little bit about my global footprint: I was born and raised in the Philippines, where I lived for the first 13 years of my life. I then moved and lived in Manitoba, Canada with my parents for the past 8 years, and I have visited Kenora, Toronto, and Vancouver. In the US, I travelled to Grand Forks and Chicago. Most recently, I was a part of the study exchange program to Israel this May 2017. I am very passionate about getting to know people from different cultures and I AIM (pun intended) to make sure that this school year will be the best, most enjoyable, and unforgettable year for our exchange students and local Asper students, alike! I am so excited to meet everyone!
